The Kitimat General Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce the successful acquisition of a brand-new ECG machine for the lab at Kitimat General Hospital! This state-of-the-art equipment is already in use, greatly improving patient access to vital diagnostic testing. The upgrade also enhances lab efficiency, minimizes delays, and ensures top-quality service for patients while creating a better work environment for staff.
The new ECG machine is the same equipment used in the ER, making it easier for staff to work with a single piece of equipment across departments. Additionally, the leads used are compatible with patients coming from outside agencies who are being transferred to a higher level of care, ensuring seamless continuity of care across the community.
A special thank you to LNG Canada, MEMSS Student Council and staff at MEMSS, Ashlee Baer, Paula Tavenor, Anna Krause, Alan & Edna Pfeffer, and Maureen Boguski for their generous donations that made this important upgrade possible. ![]()
